The Wedding planning journey brings a special connection with each couple, often very different. Some couples plan their whole wedding in less than 4 months, and some couples plan much further in advance.
Caroline and Adrian, I met alongside Caroline’s parents back in March of 2018. They had been looking at a hotel venue, but weren’t 100% sure that it suited what they wanted for their special day, so then arranged a trip over later that year to look around a few different options.
On our venue visit day it was our third wedding venue was the one that ticked all of the boxes for this couple – Complete exclusivity, Spanish style and no noise restrictions. It came as quite a shock to the couple themselves I think, as they had initially said they definitely wanted a seafront setting.
Fast forward a little over a year later, and it was their time to put all of the hard work and planning in to practise as they tied the knot with a Catholic Church ceremony performed by the groom’s cousin at Inmaculada Concepcion Church in Arroyo de la Miel.
Caroline stayed with her parents the night before the marriage, and got ready in their villa. Her hair and makeup was done by the talented Sharon and Paula and her beautiful bouquet hand delivered by us was created by Shona at Bunches.
As Dad walked Caroline down the aisle, I will admit that even I had tears in my eyes. This family had become a part of my life for well over a year so it was so special to see the day coming together so perfectly for them. You can see from the photographs though that there were no tears in their eyes, just huge smiles all round!
After the ceremony, the couple headed off for photographs at the stunning Castillo Colomares, just 2 minutes drive from Benalmadena Pueblo. There is a charge to go to this venue for photographs, but I’m sure anyone seeing them will agree, it’s worth every single penny (or cent so to say!).
The “no photo” wanting groom even got swept away by the place, and they now have wedding photographs to treasure as the king and queen of the castle.
Wedding cocktail and reception took place at the always incredible Finca Benalmadena, and to finish the evening, the couple wow-ed their guests with a choreographed first dance.
